Scion (meaning the descendant of a family or heir) is a brand of automobiles introduced by Toyota in 2002, and is marketed to younger car buyers in the U.S. Scion dealers employ what they call a “Pure Price” purchasing model, which means “the price you see is the price you pay” for the vehicle itself, accessories, finance rates, and insurance options. Research indicated that their customers wanted a simpler, streamlined buying experience, so they eliminated the often-painful and lengthy negotiating aspect of their purchasing process.
